From research to startup

MESH AG is a Swiss spinoff from ETH Zürich. Before spinning off, I worked as researcher on Mesh Mould Prefabrication at Gramazio Kohler Research at ETH Zürich. At the time Mesh Mould Prefabrication was a continuation of the chair's research on realizing doubly curved reinforced concrete structures without formwork. The groundwork for MESH was developed during my time at ETH and in 2022 the company was spun off.

My work at ETH Zürich and MESH has been focused on robotic fabrication and developing a robotic system that can 'print' rebar cages. This encompasses everything from writing code, to machining parts, doing concrete tests, mechanical and mechatronic design, developing new robotic processes, welding and much more.
